Refunds and warranty
Baltic Sail aims to offer the best in marine equipment. If the product does not meet your expectations, you have the right to return or exchange it within 14 days.
1. Right of return
The consumer has the right to inspect and return the goods within 14 days of receipt. If you wish to do so, please send an e-mail to info@balticsail.ee and fill in the return form.
2. Condition of goods
The returned product must be in its original packaging and unused.
– In the case of clothing and equipment (Zhik, Rooster, Vivida Lifestyle, etc.), the product may only be tried on in the manner necessary to verify its suitability.
– If the product has been used more than necessary or shows signs of wear, the seller has the right to reduce the refund in proportion to the reduction in value.
3. Return of goods and costs
The cost of returning the goods is borne by the buyer, unless the goods do not correspond to what was ordered or are defective. The goods can be returned either to the Baltic Sail office in Pirita or by sending a parcel to the parcel machine in Pirita Selver, indicating +372 5215790 as the contact phone number.
4. Getting your money back
We will refund the money no later than 14 days after receiving the application. We reserve the right to wait until we receive the refund. Send the bank account number for refund.
5. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply:
- used, dirty or damaged products;
- hygiene and safety products (e.g. life jackets, neoprene clothing) if the packaging has been opened or the product has been used;
- products made to order or personalised;
- products which are not by their nature suitable for resale after opening or use.
6. Warranty and right of complaint
6.1. All products sold in the Baltic Sail e-shop are subject to a minimum 2-year right of complaint according to the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
6.2. Not covered by warranty:
- normal wear and tear;
- damage caused by improper use, maintenance or storage;
- natural wear and tear of materials due to the marine environment (salt, UV radiation).
- Some products may be covered by a longer or additional manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant manufacturer.
7. Making a complaint
7.1. In the event of a defect, the Seller must be notified as soon as possible, but not later than 2 months after the defect is discovered.
7.2. The complaint must be made in writing, enclosing:
- purchasing needs;
- description of the shortcoming;
- photos if possible
7.3. The seller has the right to decide whether to repair, replace or refund the goods.
8. Liability
8.1. The Seller shall not be liable for any damage caused by misuse of the goods or failure to follow the instructions for use.
9. Dispute settlement
9.1. Claims must first be addressed to the Seller.
9.2. If no agreement can be reached, the consumer has the right to contact the Consumer and Technical Authority.
